The HEO Foundation Housing Support Program addresses the critical need for safe, decent, and affordable housing for vulnerable families and individuals. We believe that stable housing is fundamental to human dignity and provides the foundation for families to thrive.

Types of Housing Support

  • Rent Assistance: Support with rent payments for families facing eviction or homelessness
  • Emergency Shelter: Immediate housing support for disaster victims
  • Relocation Support: Assistance for families displaced by disasters or emergencies

  • Widows and widowers with dependent children
  • Families affected by natural disasters
  • Elderly persons without adequate support
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Families living in unsafe or inhumane conditions

Community Impact

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?

  • Nigerian citizens or residents
  • Demonstrate genuine housing need (homeless, facing eviction, living in dangerous conditions)
  • Low-income households unable to afford adequate housing
  • Must not own another habitable property
  • Willing to contribute labor or partial costs where possible

Priority Categories

  • Families with children under 18
  • Widow(er)s with dependents
  • Elderly persons (60 years and above)
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Disaster/emergency victims

Required Documents

  • Valid identification for head of household
  • Birth certificates of children (if applicable)
  • Death certificate of spouse (for widow/widower applications)
  • Evidence of current housing situation (photos, tenancy agreement, eviction notice)
  • Letter from community/traditional leader confirming situation
  • Land documents (for building/renovation projects)
