Youth Empowerment Program

Building Skills, Creating Opportunities

The HEO Foundation Youth Empowerment Program is designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills, knowledge, and resources needed to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to society. We focus on skills acquisition, entrepreneurship development, and job readiness training.

Training Programs Offered

  • Vocational Skills: Tailoring, hairdressing, catering, welding, plumbing, electrical work
  • Technology & Digital Skills: Computer basics, web development, digital marketing, graphic design
  • Entrepreneurship: Business planning, financial management, marketing strategies
  • Agriculture: Farming techniques, poultry, fishery, and agribusiness
  • Creative Arts: Fashion design, photography, videography, content creation

What Beneficiaries Receive

  • Full training sponsorship (3-12 months depending on skill)
  • Training materials and equipment
  • Monthly stipend during training period
  • Certification upon completion
  • Startup kit or seed capital for business launch
  • Mentorship and follow-up support for 6 months post-training
  • Networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs

Our Impact

Over 300 youths have graduated from our empowerment programs, with 80% successfully starting their own businesses or gaining employment within 6 months of completion. We are committed to reducing youth unemployment and creating the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs.

Who can apply

Who Can Apply?

  • Nigerian citizens aged 18-35 years
  • Unemployed or underemployed youth
  • Minimum of Primary School certificate (Secondary preferred)
  • Passion and commitment to learn the chosen skill
  • Willingness to complete the full training program
  • Ready to start a business or seek employment after training

Required Documents

  • Valid identification (National ID, Voter's Card, or Passport)
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Educational certificates (highest obtained)
  • Passport photographs (2 copies)
  • Letter of recommendation from community leader
  • Guarantor's letter

Selection Process

  1. Application review and shortlisting
  2. Aptitude test for chosen skill area
  3. Interview (physical or virtual)
  4. Background verification
  5. Final selection and notification

Commitment Required

Selected beneficiaries must commit to attending all training sessions, completing assigned projects, participating in mentorship activities, and providing progress reports after program completion.
